In this book, eighteen important speeches of the Archbishop, delivered in 2006 from official platforms such as the University of Athens, the Old Parliament, the Council of State, international conferences and seminars, scientific seminars and ecclesiastical events, have been collected and presented to the reading public.
Through these speeches - as the title of the book, "Serving the modern man", indicates - the Blessed Archbishop approaches with love and interest the human being, especially the human being of our times who is tormented by concerns and anxieties, the "hungry and thirsty" for truth human being, and with his profound and deeply reflective speech, he teaches, admonishes, strengthens, comforts, and interprets the signs of the times and history, the signs and messages through which God speaks and reveals His will.
It is a work that exudes spirituality, deep knowledge of the sorrows and problems of modern man, and above all, boundless Christian love for fellow human beings.
