Description

This collective volume addresses issues related to the relationship between human activities and social dynamics with space and spatial phenomena.

Space is approached in a multidimensional way, primarily as a social relationship, while at the same time highlighting its importance for the formation and dynamic of critical fields of social life.

The book consists of three parts:
-The first part refers to the theory, history, and research methods of human geography.
-The second part examines the basic fields of this science, covering issues of space interaction with society, human populations, politics, economy, culture, gender, as well as issues of geographical mobility, tourism, rural areas, spatial planning, and urban development.
-Finally, the third part is dedicated to important topics of special anthropogeographical interest, such as the cultural turn in geography, new economic geography, geographical education and teaching, as well as the relationships between society and nature.

It is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate geography students and spatial sciences in general, to social scientists and researchers, as well as to those interested in the complex spatial-social relationships and developments of our time.
It contains a four-color appendix of drawings, maps, and photographs.
