In these stories, there are many "maybes" and "probablys".
Certainties are lost over the years.
Perhaps only divinity emerges timidly.
The stories are not authentic
They are mediated from a thousand sides;
and from "authenticity".
But lies may at times and in appearances contain truth. And vice versa.
They are rather arbitrary constructions from the materials of fluid and chaotic life.
Perhaps they serve - especially their formations - as comforting handles.
