I have it for 10 days.. I bought it for my PVR since it is the only cheap one that plays AC3 sound.. I have connected it to my Smart TV to record something for my son. It is a bit slow in channel changes and it records TS files up to 1 Gbt, then it cuts them and continues with a new one, meaning a 90-minute movie is divided into two files of about 45 minutes each. I tried a WD 2 TB portable hard drive and it plays all heavy MKV files with DTS sound perfectly. Its remote control is perfect. If you play with the settings quickly, it freezes and needs to be restarted. The subtitles, although they don't seem to be adjustable (size), are large and clear. It accepts up to 8 programmed recordings in its memory. Its tuner has satisfactory reception, it shows the channels just like my TV. Overall, it is much better than the previous ones I had (F&U and LEM). I would say its player is comparable to the WD one I have, although it is a bit slower, but the image is clear in 1080p. It seems to be worth its money and it has a 2-year warranty (hopefully). The communication with EDITION is a bit expensive (1.60 euro/min), so the support is only available from the store.

I don't want to deal with anything else on a receiver that only has an antenna input and doesn't have an antenna output to continue the TV signal, after the receiver, and go to the TV with a cable antenna.
In other words, you want a receiver for some reason, while your TV picks up digital channels and you want to watch it on its own?
You have to give two separate signals from the cable antenna connector (or the TV socket that you may have on the wall) to each device.
Otherwise, the TV does not have a antenna signal.

20/6/18 Anyway, I connected it somewhere and let me write something more. It's good as an image, I haven't used it much to see if it freezes, but somewhere I read that it is DVB-T2 but H.264 and not H.265. You must clarify this, because if I understand correctly, H.265 is the new data compression that will apply at some point and I don't know if the receiver will be able to read it. I would like to clarify this myself to know. I don't know if DVB-T2 is enough. The fact that it has an external power supply is good, but without insisting and examining it well, I don't think I saw programming for recording with date, time, duration. Look into that too. I hope it has it and I just didn't see it, because if it doesn't, the recording capability is almost useless.
P.S.

Positives:
+ Excellent decoding with very smooth framerate & motion interpolation (previously had Crypto Redi 215A with ALi chipset).
+ Sound is also very good (supports AC3 and DTS).
+ External power supply (positive because if it breaks, you don't have to throw away the whole machine like with those with internal power supply).
+ User-friendly menus with many functions.
+ Small in size.
+ LCD Display.
+ Price.
+ Supports both FAT and NTFS.
+ Satisfactory media player (doesn't support all formats of course, like most in this price range. But it plays what it supports correctly).
+ The remote control has good range and works even if you don't aim at the decoder.

Negatives:
- Doesn't have an on/off switch (only has standby from the remote control).
- Takes a little longer than 'normal' to change channels (but not enough to be bothersome. Takes about 3.5'' to show the image. The sound "comes" earlier).

P.S. IMPORTANT: Upgrade the firmware before using it (you can find it here: https://www.edision.gr/el/support). If you have problems with micro freezes, check your antenna to make sure it is properly adjusted and the signal is clear.
