  • I could put zero stars, but it's not possible. After 5 clicks, I hang the camera from my neck and hear a crack, and I see the flash turning off by itself. The shoe remained on the camera body and the flash fell down. I even sent an email to the dealership abroad, and they don't take any responsibility. 170€ wasted.

Simply top. It's the 2nd one I buy. Its rechargeable battery (charger included in the package) is worth every penny. From what I've heard from experienced photographers, it lasts for 1,000 full flashes. It has never let me down, in any case. Buy it without a second thought.

    I bought it for Sony.
This specific flash has a problem.
When you attach it, it wobbles and you don't feel secure if you put a diffuser on top, even worse if it's something very light like a feather.
If you use, for example, Magmod, it will fall off the hot shoe on the same day.
Continuing, I will say that I went for repair and they told me it will take 30 days from abroad with a cost of 40 euros.

So, we are forced to buy another flash from somewhere else in order to get the job done, and when we use it only on a light stand, we don't put it on the camera again.
*As for the positive aspect, it has a battery, but what can you do if it's going to be useless afterwards.
I would recommend the Godox V1 with a little more money, it has a better system that attaches to the hot shoe, like the Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT system.
*20/11/2021 I should add that the 860 V III version has been released, which has a different attachment to the hot shoe like the V1, for those interested in a rectangular flash instead of a circular one.

Very nice light quality without gaps and other strange things in the result. At 1/1, you have plenty of light for a distance of 10-15 meters from the object, and maybe even more depending on the conditions, and at 1/128, you can use it for macro. The recharge time is really minimal, to the point where the flash is available in 99.9% of shots. The battery is the big advantage, but it may reduce flexibility. For example, it definitely lasts for a wedding photoshoot and still has 20% left, but when it runs out, it's not like the classic batteries where you can put in the next ones and continue. Based on the latter, the TT685 might be a more flexible and cost-effective solution. It was also tested with the Godox X1T transmitter, and everything worked fine. As for range, I only tested it up to 30 meters, where it had no problems.

The battery never runs out !!!!!!!!!!

05.01.2020 Update: Whoever is involved in weddings or events where you constantly hit. You want a second battery no matter what, not because the first one ran out but because it overheated!
