Description

Supports the SATA III communication protocol that offers fast speeds and is compatible with the vast majority of motherboards. 

The 2.5'' size makes it ideal for replacing and upgrading hard drives in laptops, as well as desktops.

Installation

Installation in a desktop computer is done with 2 cables (1x power & 1x data), so a free SATA slot on the motherboard and an available power supply cable for a SATA device from the power supply are required. For installation in a laptop, no cables are needed and the SSD simply plugs into the SATA slot.

    Reliable disk. I would put it one level below Samsung, and at the same level as the Crucial MX500. If their prices are similar, go for the 860 EVO, no question about it. However, if you find it at a good price, it does its job just fine.
