This second edition of "Political Theology" remains unchanged. Today, after twelve years, one can judge how well this small treatise, published in March 1922, has withstood the test of time. The confrontation with the liberal regulatory perception and its own "rule of law" is also maintained verbatim. Some abbreviations simply consist of deleting sections that dealt with trivial matters.
In recent years, many new applications of political theology have emerged. The "representation" from the 15th to the 19th century, the monarchy of the 17th century, which is conceived according to the God of baroque philosophy, the "neutral" power of the 19th century, "qui regne et ne gouverne pas", to the ideas of a state that simply takes measures and exercises administration, "qui administre et ne gouverne pas" - all these are examples of the fertility of the idea of a political theology.
