Basically, it doesn't have a scent. It is a good cleanser. I don't know about makeup removal because I wear very little. I used it when I had a problem with seborrheic dermatitis and found it very good. It doesn't sting or irritate the skin. After using it, I feel like my skin is a bit tight, so I apply cream and everything is OK.

I have no experience with other products, but this one does a relatively good job for pimples. In fact, I use it even close to the scalp where I had a problem. It helped me relatively.

Update: The important thing for oily skin with seborrheic dermatitis is to wash daily with a facewash for your skin type and then use a maintenance cream like the corresponding one from the company of the product. All of this after the redness goes away with treatment (usually cortisone cream). Facewashes and DS-type creams are for maintenance so that the problem does not recur. THEY DO NOT TREAT IT AND YOU WILL NOT SEE RESULTS DURING AN OUTBREAK.
I am deducting one star because there are better and cheaper facewashes for controlling oiliness and cleansing, and expensive DS ones are not necessary.
