The publishing house "Zitros" begins with this volume the publication of the "Historical Library" by Diodorus Siculus. This work is one of the longest in ancient Greek literature. Although many of his books have not been preserved and some have been preserved mutilated or with many gaps, the volume of the surviving books will cover ten volumes in this series, which has been compiled with the effort of our collaborator Theodore G. Mavropoulos.
We hope that, to the extent possible, we will gradually release the next volumes of this great historical composition and that we will complete its publication within a reasonable period of time. Our intention is to keep this promise, as we did with the historical works of Herodotus and Thucydides, which are already nearing completion thanks to the corresponding effort of our collaborators Gabriel Syntomoros and Athanasios Giagopoulos.
Our goal is to adorn your library with this unparalleled panorama of ancient Greek history with a reliable translation, rich comments, and detailed analysis of the events narrated.
