Macedonia, 1951: In the city of Drama, an imaginative boy tries to survive by identifying with any hero he encounters, from the knight Ivanhoe to the small-bodied, warlike Wonty Morphy of the cinema. Living the mythical memory of the relatively recent "Bulgarian-EAMocracy", the little boy identifies with another beloved hero of his, the infamous Penelope Delta Vasilios Voulgaroktonos. And indeed, on the day he realizes that a communist is going to be executed by shooting in the city. Who, to further disturb the child's emotions, is also a family friend...

Meanwhile, a businessman of our time tries to escape economic disaster. The middle-aged Vasilios Voulgaroktonos, who is left without heroes, has to fight not only with his own elements and monsters, but also with the fantasies of his younger self. In this context, the pedestrian dialogues of the businessman with bank executives, friends, and clients are transformed into euphoric literature, thanks to the writing of Vasilis Konstantinos.

This original novel follows the intertwined lives during a morning of great crisis.
