Description

The book consists of 2 volumes (Volume I: Theory. Volume II: Methods) and 6 parts.
Each of the 6 parts, as well as the entire book, aims to cover specific needs, such as:

- The first volume to help researchers and students who have not had the opportunity to delve into the scientific field of spatial analysis, understand its basic elements and its potential through basic methods of analyzing fundamental spatial entities (points, lines, surfaces). More specifically, the first volume begins with the presentation of the basic concepts of the science of geographic space and its analysis (Part A), continues with the presentation of the accepted methodology of spatial analysis by the scientific community (Part B), and concludes with the examination of the distributions of fundamental spatial entities (Part C).

- The second volume to assist those who want to acquire the power and effectiveness of the tools offered by spatial analysis in solving scientific problems and more, as it presents in a comprehensive way specialized methods and techniques from the entire spectrum that spatial analysis possesses. More specifically, the second volume starts with the presentation of the most well-known spatial methods of multivariate analysis (Part D), proceeds with the examination of methods concerning a purely geographical dimension (Part E), and concludes with the most recent approaches to spatial analysis (Part F).

Finally, the book as a whole, to serve as a necessary complement to the library of all those who are involved in spatial planning in one way or another, as spatial analysis is an integral part of it.
