Well, after 2 years of use.... One word is enough.. Incredible boot!!!! The main thing is that it is soft and lightweight, a boot that no matter how many hours you wear it, it will hardly tire you out!!!! Tough use with lots of rain and mud.... It keeps you dry and warm (in very cold weather we all know that thermal socks are necessary)!!!!
I would buy them again without hesitation if they give up at some point!!!!
So, recommended to all fellow riders because all of us who ride in the rain know very well how annoying it is when even a little water gets into your feet!!!
Safe and dry roads to all of us with warm feet!!!
Also, I hear some people saying that they only lasted 2 years...... Hey fellow rider, all shoes wear out with use and of course faster when there is no care and proper attention.... The waterproof membrane will of course break at some point and even faster if you make serious mistakes!!! For example, if you put it on top of a heater (radiator or something similar) you have made the biggest mistake of your life!!!! Just a little attention is needed and they are worth their money and more!!!!!
Just got them and drove with them at 11 degrees and heavy rain (Penteli) with thin summer socks, I didn't feel anything, amazing feeling very comfortable it inspires confidence in stepping, it doesn't slip on wet surfaces and the sole is hard enough that you don't feel the GS1200 when putting it on the central stand, even though I didn't go anywhere it feels like regular sneakers when walking, like you don't have boots. The leather is microfiber leather and for me much better than traditional leather because the boot feels like a feather and flexible, exactly as I wanted it, not to mention it doesn't need all the leather oils every now and then and it lasts longer than regular leather, I have changed 4-5 leather boots and I still have them and I know what I'm talking about, looking closely you can see the quality, I will come back after several tests.
20/12 today with 5 degrees in the mountains, it's fine, but not for a long time, overall it's super
If you give it a few hours to break in and take the shape of the base of your driving position, it is incredibly comfortable for long hours of use! I have worn them for up to 12 hours straight and it feels like wearing sneakers! So comfortable!
Update and a star because unfortunately they are not suitable for temperatures below 5-8 degrees, the cold starts to become very noticeable after just 10 minutes of driving.
After a year and a half of use:
Positives:
1. Completely waterproof. I have traveled many kilometers in rain, both in and out of the city, and I had no issues whatsoever.
2. Breathable. You don't feel "suffocated" in your feet or sweat that cannot escape from the shoe. I had to wear them for a while during the summer, and even though they are winter shoes, they were tolerable because they allow the feet to "breathe."
3. Comfortable for walking. They are not the ideal walking shoes, but they are quite comfortable. I wear them all day at work and during walks, and they are much better than "motorcycle shoes suitable for walking" that I have bought in the past.
I haven't found any serious negatives about the boots, but I will mention two points that I think could be improved, although they are not prohibitive:
1. The zipper to open the boots is on the outer side of the foot, which makes it a bit difficult to take them off/put them on while standing, for example, when you are on the road and trying to wear rain gear.
2. Once you put them on and zip them up and fasten the Velcro, the lip of the boot on the upper part, where it hugs the foot below the calf, has a slight inward slope and after many hours, it leaves a mark on the foot as if you had a rubber band in that spot. So, if you have a few extra pounds, try them on carefully.
Very satisfied with their durability, usefulness, comfort, and appearance.
Unfortunately, they only lasted two years, now they have become worse than Sportex, you get soaked.
