A lamp that operates with seawater

A Colombian company thought of and created a lamp THAT RUNS ON SEA WATER! But how does it work?

You fill the lamp with half a liter of saltwater and then the device works its magic! Through a chemical reaction that occurs from the contact of saltwater with copper and magnesium plates (if I understood correctly), electricity is generated and converted into light!

The light can last up to 24 whole hours and if it stops, all you have to do is refill the lamp with water directly from the sea!

The company E-Dina was inspired by the Wayúu tribe of South America, on the Colombia-Venezuela border, to create this lamp, as they have a major problem with access to electricity!

EXTRA FACTS

Today, there are approximately 800 million people on the planet who DO NOT HAVE ACCESS to electricity. Electricity has not even reached their settlements! Ten out of a hundred people!

I read that this device can also operate with... urine in case the people using it are far from the sea!
