Create the perfect Christmas card
A greeting card can always lift your mood and evoke emotions, especially if it is a Christmas card. Even if you can't accompany it with a gift, the recipient will appreciate it just as much, especially if it is written with love.
Many say that Christmas is a commercialized holiday where everything is about shopping and buying, without looking behind the material goods and the symbolism of each gesture. Perhaps we often forget the essence of Christmas and don't focus on what it truly is, which is magic, love, and humanity.
But how can you create the perfect Christmas card?
The first step you need to take is of course to choose the Christmas card you want. Choose the corresponding design, think about who the card is intended for, what you want to write on it (a wish, a letter, etc.), and whether you want it to include an envelope or not.
If you want the card you will give to have your own personal touch, you can make it yourself. Let's see what you will need in this case:
- 1 thick paper or cardboard
- 1 pair of scissors
- 1 glue
- Markers or pens
- Christmas stickers
For the composition, use a ruler to cut your cardboard to the dimensions you want. Then fold it in half and gradually your card will take shape.
On the front side, you can draw something related, like a Christmas tree, Santa Claus, or a snowball. If drawing is not your strong point, you can stick a sticker or do some crafts with embossed or velvet paper, especially craft sheets and glitter. And... your card is ready!
Let's now see what you can write in a Christmas card, always keeping in mind who it is intended for.
If it has to do with someone beloved to you, like your parents or siblings, you can write something beautiful that characterizes your relationship, express your support and love for that specific person, and end with a lovely dedication, like "To the best dad in the world, with love".
If the card is for your other half, then you have nothing but to express your feelings with phrases that only the two of you can understand their meaning, inside jokes and nicknames that you may call each other.
If it is intended for a friend of yours, you can use a more casual style, remind them of situations that brought you closer during the past, express your love and gratitude for your friendship, and say things that you may not say in your everyday life.
If, now, you are going to give it to a colleague or to someone with whom you do not have personal and friendly relationships, the tone can be more formal and concise. This may mean wishes such as:
- "Merry Christmas with health and love to you and your family"
- "Warm wishes for a year full of new experiences and opportunities" etc.
Finally, just like a gift needs its wrapping, the card you will send this Christmas needs an envelope to be delivered to its recipient, whether it is handed over in person or through a courier.
To whoever this card is ultimately addressed to and whatever tone of writing you choose to use, remember that love, kindness, and authenticity always win. Write things that come from your heart and be inspired by the person who will receive this card.
Spread love & kindness <3 It's Christmas time!!!
