What to wear to a wedding in the summer of 2024!
Wedding season is on by Korina Vrousia
The wedding season has officially begun and we have prepared 10 suggestions to never again worry about the dilemma of "what should I wear". No matter what your role is as a guest, no matter the location or the conditions of the ceremony, get ready to make a difference.
To help you even further and to let the excitement of the wedding prevail instead of the outfit dilemma, we have divided them into 10 special occasions, gathered the most suitable suggestions, and here is the result!
Wedding at a Estate
Since we are talking about a summer wedding, but indoors, the key word in this case is shine. Choose something with a glittery appearance or metallic fabric. Adopt it enough to characterize you and make you feel beautiful. You can go for 100% shine if that's how you feel or limit yourself to elements on the look you choose. Shiny fabrics look very elegant in earthy tones, like sand, and go perfectly with subtle gold jewelry or pearls. Accessories - like a bag and shoes - in such a proposal it is good to move in gentle nude shades.
Best Man's Outfit
In this case, on one hand you don't want to overshadow the bride, but on the other hand you want to show your important role, so choosing the best man's outfit can be a bit tricky. We would say that dresses for weddings are the way to go in this situation, especially those that flirt with longer lengths. Subtle floral patterns in pastel shades or a dress in emerald, turquoise, or mint color will make a very nice impression. If you're not into dresses, a jumpsuit with the above specifications is ideal. In both cases, heels are almost a must, as well as accessories that should have a touch of sparkle.
Wedding on the island
Before proceeding to purchase the outfit you will wear at the island wedding, make sure it can be easily transported, does not wrinkle easily, and fits in the suitcase you will take, without being too tight. From there on, a wedding on the island where the mood is more relaxed and carefree takes care of your look. A airy dress with thin straps, a wrap top with a silk skirt, or a loose jumpsuit with an open back or neckline will work wonders. Espadrilles and metallic sandals (in a friendly height or completely flat) are the only shoes you will need to bring with you to enjoy this day.
The sister of the bride
However you see it, this day is very unique and special, so your look should be worthy of your role. A long dress that leaves the shoulders bare, combined with impressive earrings and high-heeled sandals is a proper suggestion. A dress in pastel shades with slits on the legs or a revealing back and gold jewelry also match the occasion.
Note: You won't "get away with" high heels unless your sister's wedding is in a very relaxed mood at a town hall or on an island.
Village Wedding
A village wedding will definitely have a more traditional feel, which is automatically reflected in the dress code. Not in a heavy sense though. For example, a spaghetti strap dress or a design that leaves the shoulders uncovered are a great match. Also, a short dress with puffy sleeves or a midi dress with a striking belt at the waist will blend nicely with the setting. Platform shoes at a comfortable height and sandals with a medium heel will complement the outfit nicely. Accessories are not as important in this case, a small clutch and a bracelet combo on one hand will beautifully complete the final look.
The bride's bestie
This is the classic case where you go to honor your best friend and enjoy it with all your heart. The maxi dresses with bold side slits or uncovered details on the back and bust are ideal. The same goes for a dress that hugs and flatters the curves of the body or a cropped top with a long impressive skirt. We recommend wearing high heels at the church and having a pair of sandals that match your look when you move on to the wedding party so you can dance with your friend until the early morning hours!
Wedding at the Town Hall
Here you will need to ask the couple how they will move stylistically, so as not to appear that you tried too hard or that you went too hastily. In the first case, where the atmosphere will be very relaxed, you will do the same. Adopt a trousers-shirt look in vibrant colors or a dress with floral patterns and discreet openings above the belly and back. In case it is somewhat more formal, then a A-line dress or a wrap dress will be a perfect fit. In both cases, you can wear sandals with metallic elements, a simple small bag that can fit all the essentials, and move quite minimal with the jewelry.
Accompanying my boyfriend
Here to have fun and feel comfortable, you should strictly follow what makes you feel good and like yourself. Don't experiment with looks you haven't tried before and suddenly feel out of place. Opt for monochrome choices such as nude, soft pink or yellow, a subtle turquoise or a terracotta brown. Let accessories and jewelry make their presence felt, like a bag in metallic shades or a pair of stunning earrings. The same goes for platform shoes and sandals in metallic hues with a medium-height feminine heel will work wonders.

High end wedding
This case is as "difficult" as winter, but even more so in the summer when you want to be lighter and more relaxed. Here you will make your heart stone and you will do a very beautiful and complete makeup in a sun-kissed logic, you will comb your hair as relaxed as possible - but you will go to the hairdresser, you can't avoid it - and you will wear your high-heeled shoes because otherwise it's not possible. As for the outfit, it may look more relaxed due to the season, but by no means casual. Geometric colorful patterns fit nicely in the occasion, dresses in mermaid lines and close to the body, a high-waisted straight-leg trousers with a stunning bust with embroidered stones or crystals would fit perfectly in the case, as well as a strapless dress or a jumpsuit, to highlight the stunning jewelry that is ideal for such an invitation.
Beach Wedding
In such an invitation, nothing should restrict your movements, both dancing and non-dancing. You want a relaxed, fluid look that embraces your body coolly and flatteringly, and makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Shades of sand, sun, and sea and fuchsia of bougainvillea will make your look even lighter and island-like. It's best to avoid white for obvious reasons! The accessories here can be more... vacation-like, such as some shells, evil eye charms, and little corals or something with colorful summer stones. To complete the outfit, you will need a pair of flat sandals and a simple bucket bag that harmonizes with your overall look.
