Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision prepares a comeback

With Call of Duty releasing non-stop in recent years, it is certain that some gamers have grown tired and are asking Activision to change course. On the other hand, with the vast expansion that multiplayer has now taken, it is also certain that the well-known publisher's main focus is on how to make more money from it. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is tasked with answering this difficult equation.

This year's game in the series comes from Treyarch and Raven Software and is the first from Activision under the ownership of Microsoft and Xbox. The new fps is the 21st game in the series and the seventh in the Black Ops era. The immediate predecessor was Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which was released in 2020. Contrary to what was being said, this year's title also comes with a single-player segment and a story that brings us as Troy Marshall and Frank Woods organizing a team of agents aiming to confront the Pantheon group that has infiltrated the US intelligence services and is causing problems in the broader Gulf region.

Beyond the story, we will also have multiplayer and co-op, as well as the beloved Zombies mode, where players are called to face hordes of the undead. The main part of the story promises an adventure full of destruction and intense action, with all the impressive set pieces we have come to know over the years. In the multiplayer section, we have 16 new maps from day one, with more to be added in the near future in the form of DLC. The Prestige level system will make a return, and there will be several maps for 6v6 and/or 2v2 battles.

In the Zombies mode section, we will have the classic rounds where players are called to survive and eliminate everyone. At the launch of the title, we will have two maps, with many more to be added later, both from previous games and new ones. The story brings us after the sacrifice of Samantha Maxis with Special Commander Grigori Weaver, Doctor Elizabeth Grey, Major Mackenzie Carver, Doctor Oskar Strauss, and Captain Stoney "Raptor One" Maddox having been captured and held on Terminus Island in the Philippine Sea, where a prison is located.

As for the gameplay, we will have the ability to move freely on the map, as well as run and dive in four directions (to avoid fire), and also combine all of these for the best possible result.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is scheduled to be released on October 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
