NBA 2K25: Basketball Video Games Level Up

The NBA 2K series is one of the most popular in the gaming world, and every year fans eagerly await to see what new features the title has to offer. It is the main basketball video game on the market, as there is currently no serious competitor. EA has abandoned all efforts with NBA Live, so Visual Concepts is the main "player" in the market.

NBA 2K25 is released in collaboration with the NBA and is the 26th game in the series. For the first time this year, we have athletes from both the NBA and WNBA on the covers, thus honoring the women who have a particularly competitive league in the sport. The various editions feature Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, while the Hall of Fame Edition stars Vince Carter.

An important part of every NBA 2K title is the City, the central hub where all available options are located, even for activities outside of the games. This year, MyCOURT, NBA 2K MyPARKs, and the Boulevard of the Stars return, and the overall feeling is that everything is much better connected. The Boulevard of the Stars offers direct access to various modes, and for those who want a challenge in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 games, there is also the Proving Grounds. If you want to explore tactics and train for specific conditions, there is also MyCOURT.

MyTEAM this year is much more competitive, filled with modes and a reputation system that uses perks and rewards. The Auction House returns, where one can "bid" on cards to enhance their collection or sell those they don't need. Additionally, we have the Triple Threat Park, where players can meet opponents and compete together or against each other in the new-gen versions (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S). By winning, they will collect rewards from various challenges or events that take place for a limited time. Finally, worth mentioning is Breakout, a new mode with new challenges and special rewards.

MyGM returns in NBA 2K25 and in this RPG-like mode, you are called to manage a team from the position of General Manager. You will be required to make important decisions for the present and future of the team at all levels and manage both the players and the staff.

Furthermore, regarding the gameplay, we have the return of ProPLAY, a mechanism that creates the animation in the game from the actual movements of the players. Over 9000 movements have been transferred into the game and will make the matches as realistic as possible.

NBA 2K25 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
