GoPro introduced its new action camera GoPro Hero13 Black, which came with several improvements from the previous model!

With dimensions of 71.8x50.8x33.6mm and a weight of 121 grams (154 grams with battery), the new GoPro Hero 13 comes with a main 2.3-inch LCD touchscreen and a second (non-touch) 1.4-inch screen. It features stereo microphones, a 3.5mm TRS Stereo port, and offers a resolution of 27 Megapixels (jpeg and Raw) with interchangeable lenses ranging from 12 to 39mm, with a maximum aperture of f/2.5.

Regarding video capabilities, it records in resolutions up to 5.3K at 60fps, and thanks to HyperSmooth 6.0 and AutoBoost technologies, it offers the widest possible frame with smooth and stabilized capture, even in the toughest conditions. It supports GP-Log video for maximum dynamic range and flexibility during video editing, and can also capture slow-motion footage in 4K resolution up to 120fps, 2K up to 240fps, and 720p up to 400fps.

Another new feature in video is that it can shoot video in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR. The previous model also shot in HDR, but this year GoPro added HLG, which records in a wider color gamut, with contrast, at 10-bit and in Rec. 2100 (color space).

It also supports Voice Control, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and is compatible with the GoPro Quik app (Android and iOS). It accepts a microSD/microSDHC (UHS-III) memory card, has a built-in lithium battery with a capacity of 1900mAh (10% larger) that provides a battery life of 2.5 hours, and is waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters.

It is compatible with interchangeable lenses and accessories HB Series, which are sold separately, and include Ultra Wide (177-degree field of view), 4x macro, ND filters, and anamorphic lenses (21:9 and 16:9 ratios).

Finally, for easier audio recording, the new camera supports audio connectivity via Bluetooth. Additionally, it also features Timecode synchronization (audio), as well as an upgraded mounting system with a new magnetic support base, which the company calls “snap and go”. The company says it is now the fastest way to secure the camera quickly and easily, for any use!
