Casual Fridays | The most beautiful shorts for the office
The heat is too much, the humidity as well. Just the thought of wearing long office pants at 40 degrees Celsius personally suffocates me. Choosing shorts for the office can be a real challenge, as you need to combine comfort with professionalism. If (and I emphasize if!) your work's dress code allows shorts, the following tips will help you choose the right ones:
Length: Prefer Bermuda shorts and shorts that reach at least to the knee or slightly above. No matter how "relaxed" the office dress code may be, very short shorts are a no-go.
Fabric: Choose materials such as cotton and linen or fabrics with little elasticity that maintain their shape and give a more professional appearance.
Color: Prefer neutral colors such as black, dark blue, gray, or beige, which are easy to combine and look more formal. If you like stylistic experiments, you can try a colorful piece, but my advice is to avoid prints.
Style: Very casual and sporty shorts are not suitable for the office under any circumstances. Prefer shorts with clean lines and without many decorative elements.
Styling: Make sure to combine your shorts correctly with a stylish shirt or a lightweight blouse, a pair of elegant espadrilles, mules or loafers to achieve a professional look. If the weather allows it, you can add a blazer to your look to add extra professionalism to your outfit.
