ASUS ROG Ally X: This is the new version of the gaming laptop!

As part of the Computex exhibition taking place these days, ASUS presented the ASUS ROG Ally X, the upgraded gaming PC laptop that comes to compete with other products in the category, such as the Lenovo Legion GO and the Steam Deck OLED.

Its release is set for July 22nd and comes with double the battery capacity, double the storage space, double the number of USB-C ports with quadruple USB bandwidth, 50% faster memory, and up to 15% better performance, with minor changes both internally and externally.

As the name suggests, we are not dealing with a second console, but with an upgraded version of the current one.

It weighs 678 grams (70 more than the ASUS ROG Ally) and has a thickness of 4.5 millimeters at its thickest point. By increasing the battery, ASUS increased the weight, but at the same time made changes to the interior and various sections so that it can move at similar levels to the base model.

The ventilation system has become significantly lighter with 23% smaller fans that offer 10% better performance in air removal. The controls are also lighter, with updated modules, and the Turbo mode operates again at 25W, but with reduced generated noise and performance from 15W to 17W. Regarding the battery, ASUS states a remaining health/capacity of 80% after 3 years of charging, which is done at 65W.
