Energy Balls with melomakarono flavor!
We are fully immersed in the holiday spirit and surely you want to enjoy the melomakarona. If you are watching your diet, we have the perfect suggestion for nutritious energy balls, with the taste of your favorite Christmas sweet!
Ingredients
- 400g dates
- 150g oats
- 150g ground walnuts
- 100ml sesame syrup
- zest of 1 orange
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- ground walnuts for coating
Instructions
- Remove the pits from the dates
- Place all the ingredients in a blender
- Blend for 1 minute, until a dough is formed
- Shape small balls using your hands and place them in a bowl
- Coat the energy balls with the extra ground walnuts by rolling them in a plate
Of course, we eat our traditional melomakarona guilt-free!!
